+-------------------
+
+INIT SCRIPTS:
+
+Since version 2.3-2, the darkstat package has two init scripts:
+ - /etc/init.d/darkstat, to start/stop the daemon,
+ - /etc/darkstat/init.cfg, to configure the settings of the daemon.
+
+The /etc/init.d/darkstat start/stop commands will not be started until the START_DARKSTAT option is set to "yes".
+
+NEW OPTIONS
+
+Since version 3.0.707, the darkstat package has change some major options
+including the feature to run in a chroot jail, the chroot dir can
+be specified at compilation time or can be set with the proper option,
+see darkstat(8); at Debian the chroot is set to /var/lib/darkstat.
+
+DATABASE COMPATIBILITY
+
+Newest database from 3.X branches are not compatible with old database form
+2.X branches.
